I'm sure nearly all have seen,

O Brother, Where Art Thou?

and the character of Everett's obsession with the men's pomade, Dapper Dan. I was always fascinated by the design of the container, so I set out to create a replica of one as simply as possible. Using one of the huskies old dog pans that was just rusting away, I decided the size would be perfect to work with and also draw more attention. The progress photos below are slightly out of order, as the third one should be first.

When finished, I gave to Pam to assign it to it's position on the old shed, along with the other signage displayed there. 

 

 

Keep On Rollin'

Received a call/text from a gentleman needing a magnetic for his truck. He said he actually needed one to cover up some slight damage to his tailgate, but went on to explain he had an old t-shirt that his wife had since used in making a quilt. It was a throw-back to the 60's "Keep On Truckin'" logo, but with a Bama slant. We obliged him.

Dr. Ray Retirement

A while back Kim, my sister-in-law, who works for Dr. Ray, asked me if I would create a retirement gift for him. She had listed several items of his enjoyments and/or memorabilia. I took them and ran with it. I think he liked it. (18" x 24")

Day Car Wash

Letters cut out of Max Metal two-color substrates. 3M 4950 VHB Double-sided foam tape applied to back. Courtland, AL.

Pepsi Cola Bottle Cap Redo

Billy B. brought this old rusty sign by a while back and asked if I could do anything with it. As you can tell, you could barely see the design. After doing a little research, I found out this particular design was used from 1906 until the '40s. I proceeded to scuff the worst-rusted parts off, then sprayed some rust reformer over it.

Billy had mentioned the background color was not white, and the research proved it. I found some ivory satin, made by Rustoleum and sprayed several coats on.

I cut the vinyl to scale.

The blue has been transferred to the sign.

Red is transferred and shot taken while drying.

Clearcoat of satin clear added, and this is the finished sign.

The circle was roughly 16" in diameter.

Recently we acquired a heat press and began printing textiles, and so far, only printed tees.

 But we will soon be doing caps, hats, bags, shoes, gloves, etc. Just get your orders in!

Adding To The Collection

Christmas Gifts

Wow! Over a month later getting this on; I must be pushing old. Anyway, my nephew, Heath, is a big Auburn fan and plays golf every chance he gets, so for Christmas he decided to purchase this cart for his two boys. The oldest plays too, and I'm sure the younger one will eventually. Needless to say, I'm sure they pull for Auburn with their dad.

Heath asked if I could cut out some vinyl with the Auburn logo and stripe it like their helmets on both sides. This is the result. Pretty nice gift.

Billy brought by his cast iron mailbox that was in dire need of reworking. It had been previously painted and decals applied, but they were peeling off. I hope these last a little longer.
